AMES, Iowa – Iowa State will be hosting the 2018 Big 12 Cross Country Championship on Friday, Oct. 26 at the ISU Cross Country Course. The host Cyclones will be looking to defend the men's and women's crowns they won in 2017.

Competition will begin at 10 a.m. with the women's 6K, followed by the men's 8K at 11 a.m.

10 a.m.-5 p.m. - Course Inspection/Practice (ISU Cross Country Course)
5 p.m.-5:30 p.m. - Declarations/Packet Pickup (Hunziker Auditorium/Jacobson Building)
5:30 p.m. - Mandatory Coaches' Meeting (Hunziker Auditorium/Jacobson Building)

Friday, Oct. 26 (all at ISU Cross Country Course)
7:30 a.m. - Course Open to Competitors
9:45 a.m. - National Anthem
9:50 a.m. - Women Called to Start
10:00 a.m. - Women's 6K Championship Race
10:50 a.m. - Men Called to Start
11:00 a.m. - Men's 8K Championship Race
Immediately Following Men's Race, the top men's and women's teams and the All-Big 12 teams will be recognized.

Directions to Course
From Interstate 35 (both North and South) take Exit 111B onto Highway 30 West. Take Exit 146, and continue right onto University Ave. Take a left onto Mortensen Pkwy. Turn right onto Hayward Ave., and the course will be on the left. Parking is available on the street of Hayward Ave., and in Lots 61A and 61B. Please see the parking map, here.

Mandatory Coaches' Meeting
Coaches are required to attend the mandatory coaches' meeting on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hunziker Auditorium inside the Jacobson Athletics Building. Declarations and chip and bib number pick-up will happen at this time.  Directions from the course are here. Coaches and staff can park in Lot 85E.

Entry Procedures
Entry information will be sent out on approximately Sept. 27, 2018. Each team must submit information through the DirectAthletics website for no more than 12 student-athletes eligible to compete. Entries are due on Monday, Oct. 22. Each institution is allowed to declare 10 runners for the championship. The first seven runners from an institution may be used in the scoring places.

Team parking will be along the curb on Hayward Ave., and in Lots 61A and 61B, which are accessible via Welch Ave. All fan parking will be in Lots 61A and 61B.
